Teaser Trailers (media work)
June 11th, 2009
A teaser trailer in film is a short trailer (advert) which is used to advertise upcoming (to be released) films. Teaser trailers are the first advert for a film while longer main trailers with more detail are released later. They sometimes are released over a year before the film is released (eg: a teaser trailer for “The Incredibles” was released on the “Finding Nemo” DVD- ”The Incredibles” came out 18 months later). Sometimes teaser trailers will feature scenes or alternate versions of scenes that do not appear in the finished film (eg: Pixar). Teaser Trailers are very short, usually lasting between 30 and 60 seconds. They tend to include the title of the film, the main actors and an extremely short bit of the film.
Do you know how long an average teaser trailer lasts for?
