I changed the music magazine many times, they were drafts now but at the time I thought they would be the real thing. At first (can be seen in my research and planning), the contents & interview background was orange (which did not fit the genre), which I later changed to a part of the background used in my picture (darkened using software), and I re-did the interview about 5 times (deleting and starting again to get it right). I also changed fonts on the contents & front page, made the title on the front bigger, added more features in the contents than in the original draft, etc…Basically I changed nearly everything in the magazine from the drafts, including the additions of things that weren’t previously there. (below are drafts of my magazine)

My time management was good overall as I got everything in by the deadlines, by doing work in lessons, in free lessons and out of school. And the school magazine and research and planning for the music magazine were in much before the deadlines so very good management, this was even with the many re-drafts I did, including about 5 for the interview feature in my magazine.
The school magazine represented school life due to the student on the front being in school uniform and there being a school section in the magazine, also featuring various genres of music (featuring Rap/Rock/R&B, etc…) and different types of features (sport to fashion), which represents school life as there are many different people in schools, who will each have different interests.
The music magazines relates to music because it has features on music artists (interviews with, photoshoots of, etc…) and general music features, including “the hottest albums of 2008” with album covers, a music group on the cover (although fictional), a free music CD plus all the conventions found on a music magazine.
The music magazine represented readers of music magazines because it features all the conventions that they would expect to find in a music magazine, being familiar and useful so that they can find whatever they are looking for.
I cannot really say if my school magazine is realistic because I have not studied deeply or seen many others, but I expect it is at least fairly real because it features school things as well as entertainment features to make the students want to buy it.
As for the music magazine, I think it is realistic as it features all the conventions of music magazines and is targeted at one audience. Plus I think it features realistic magazine features.
Also, my fictional rap group “HaterProof” on my music magazine, had to look realistic so I had to get the right image. Making sure stereotypical conventions of the genre were met (jewellery, hoodie, jeans, etc…), meaning I had to be selective about who was featured, eg: someone in a suit and tie would not look right for it.
